Originally from the east coast, James Wellington spent his early adult years in the casino gambling industry. Since becoming a performer in the late 1980's he has become an established character actor with recurring roles on NYPD Blue, Young & Restless and Las Vegas with guest spots on dozens of other television productions. He is also credited with distinctive roles in films such as Mean Guns, Too Fast, Too Young and the critically acclaimed Daydreamer with Aaron Paul. James has a strong supporting role in the feature Red Sky, directed by Mario Von Peebles and an important role in The Gambler with Mark Wahlberg. His voice credits include the lead role in the award winning animated film The Agitated.
