Born on December 13 1946 Peter Wragg grew up in Slough,Buckinghamshire and though he enjoyed model-making as a child,left school to work in a bank. When his father's business had a contract with AP Films run by puppet show supremo Gerry Anderson,he worked for them as a gofer and then as a production ans effects designer on several of Anderson's popular series. Moving over to the BBC he worked on shows such as 'Doctor Who',appearing as an alien in one episode, 'Some Mothers Do Ave 'Em' and,particularly,as the designer of 'Red Dwarf'. He retired in 2000.
