Mikes flying career initially started with the airlines but finding the work a little dull he soon made the move to a more exciting mix of Police helicopters and vintage World War 2 fighters and bombers. Mike holds Airline Transport Licences for both the USA and Europe and is qualified to fly single and multi engine aircraft, sea planes, helicopters, gyroplanes jets and gliders. Nowadays, although still active as a pilot, he prefers to specialise in aerial co-ordination and advising on aviation content for film and TV. In this capacity Mike has headed up Aces High since 1979. During those 30 years Mike has gained a wide range of experience both as a pilot and aerial co-ordinator, working on movie projects all over the world, involving everything from the smallest microlights to the largest commercial and military jets. In particular Mike enjoys the challenge of sourcing rare and interesting aircraft and the satisfaction of seeing them appear and operate in an authentic manner on the big screen.
