Rafal Zielinski, director, producer & writer (also credited as Rafael Zelinsky and Rafal Haimovitz) is best known for directing several award winning independent films such as "Fun" (Sundance Film Festival Special Jury Award), "Ginger Ale Afternoon" (Sundance), "Hey Babe!" (Toronto), "Downtown: A Street Tale" (AFI Fest), "Hangman's Curse", "National Lampoon's Last Resort" and the Roger Corman's produced "Screwballs" and its several sequels. Born of both Polish and Jewish background, his childhood was spent in Europe, Far East, Canada and high school at Stowe School in England. He graduated from MIT with a degree in Art and Design where he concentrated on documentary film and was mentored by Richard Leacock, one of the pioneers of Cinéma Vérité.
