Elena Stoyanova was born on January 24, 1979 in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 1997 - 1998 she studied foundation course in Art and Design, Falmouth College of Arts. In 1998 - 1999 - Theatre Design course at New Bulgarian University, Sofia, Bulgaria. In 1999 - 2002 - Costume Design course at Wimbledon School of Art, London (1st degree). She was a costume designer in: "Dogs", director B. Mirica (2015); "Lift for patients", director Iglika Triffonova, (also production designer) (2015); "David's sling", director Svetoslav Ovtcharov; "The Prosecutor, the Defender, the Father and his Son", director Iglika Triffonova (2014); "The Judgment", director Stephan Komandarev (2012); "Three days in Sarajevo", director Nikolay Todorov, (also production designer) (2012); "Joy and Sorrow of the body", director A. Pantzis (2011); "Tilt", director Victor Chuchkov (2009); "The Goat", director Georgi Djulgerov (2009); "Farewell to Hemingway ", director Svetoslav Ovtcharov (2007); "The Wraiths of Roanoke", director M. Codd (2006); "Investigation", director Iglika Triffonova (2005); "Monkeys in Winter", director Milena Andonova (2004); "The Path of Destruction", director S. Other achievements and awards: In 2007 she received Annual Award of the National Film Centre for Best Costumes ("Investigation"; "Monkeys in winter"); in 2002 she won Ashley Stewart Award for outstanding student achievements in theatre design.
