Marcel Romeijn was born In Leidschendam, The Netherlands on September 12, 1979. As a young boy, he made his brother and sister act in his home theatre play. He grew up in Niftrik, a small village not far from Nijmegen. After he finished high school he went to Utrecht to study Desk top publishing. in the first year of his study, he auditioned for the younger department of the Paardenkathedraal, a big theatre company that was based in Utrecht. When he was 25 he came in contact with The 48 Hour Film Project Amsterdam. Here he started to write and produce short films. His first film was Cure, a spy-movie made within 48 hours. He produced, co-wrote, and acted in this film. They delivered this film 7 minutes after the deadline. and were excluded from the competition. At 27 he directed his first theatre play "Didolaxeos" in Utrecht. 3 years later he and some friends would shoot a short film on Aruba that was based on the theatre play called "heb het Lief" After this Marcel went on a sabbatical from acting, writing, and producing. only to do a few small film projects for friends. In 2013 he was invited to come to Berlin to participate in KinoBerlino. KinoBerlino is part of the worldwide KinoKabaret movement. After this, he took a few years to travel and do many kino's. at one of these kino's he met his wife Nataliya Trusova. In 2017 they went back to The Netherlands where Marcel put his focus back on Acting and writing. They now live in Rotterdam and produce Kinoonik Holland in Rotterdam
