Großmann, Günter was born on 4th March 1965 in Vienna/Austria. His grandfather was the very the famous glass-painter Karl Feucht Since childhood Günter was very enthusiastic for movies and theatre. He played various roles in school performances and joined also the school chorus at the age of twelve. Before and during his graduation he appeared in a number of Austrian movies and TV series as an extra. He got much more experience at the Acting-Dancing-Singing-Workshops of 'Sandor Racz' (a director who starred in the Viennese productions of 'Cats', 'The Phantom of the Opera' and 'A Chorus Line'). He played there in scene-by-scene matinees roles like "Bottom the Weaver" from "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "Anatol" in "Weihnachtseinkäufe" and BG: the title role "The murderer", a short play by Helmut Qualtinger. Since 1997 he is regularly seen in "German and Austrian TV Commercials" for big companies like "Römerquelle"(with comic duo Stermann & Grissemann),Yellow Pages (with actress Jean Ainslie) and "Krone Hitradio". In 1997 he was a cast member of the "Fiddler on the roof" revival at the "Theater an der Wien". He also starred in one of the leading parts in the student film festival cult movie 'Nulla Sine Linea - Kein Tag ohne Bewegung' under the direction of aspiring director Nina Kusturica. She offered him also a part in her short 'Der Freiheit'. Some other of his film credits in the last few years were small parts in Hannah (1996), _Hofrat Geiger (1996)_, _Der Bockerer 2 (1996)_ and )Gottesanbeterin, Die (2000)_ (opposite Christiane Hörbiger). One of his aims is organizing big charity events to raise money for various institutions. In the year 2001 he organized together with Philipp Schneider-Siemssen the "50th anniversary stage"-Gala for Professor Günther Schneider-Siemssen at the "Theater an der Wien", which was highly publicized. He also formed, with his friend singer, composer and conductor Josef Krenmair, an organisation to promote musical arts. Both artists are also working together for a musical which is based on an authentic crime case which occurred during the years of World War I.
