Frodo Kuipers is an independent Dutch animator and director, who studied animation at the ABV in Tilburg (NL) and graduated with great honors in 2001 at KASK Ghent (Belgium). He animated and directed several award winning shorts like e.g. Antipoden (2001), Shipwrecked (which was produced during his artistic residence at the NIAf institute of animation in 2005), Bricks (2010), Fata Morgana (2011) and his latest film Bullet Time (2016), which was selected to be the Dutch entry for the Oscars in 2018. Frodo's films mainly focus on human character and its stupidity, but he always uses his wicked sense of humor to enlighten his films. Frodo also animates leaders, commercials and other commissioned films. Next to his work as an animator and director at his home studio Studio Mosquito, Frodo teaches animation at academy of arts WDKA in Rotterdam.
