After finishing school in 1988 he worked as a freelancer for a German newspaper and had several internships for German newspapers and radio stations. He also studied law and politics for two semesters on the famous University of Heidelberg in 1990/1991. He started his TV career in 1993 as a moderator of various children's programs for German TV station ZDF and still does so as of date. In addition he hosts a fitness magazine for TV station 3SAT since 2002.
