Mugur Mihaescu is a Romanian actor and screenwriter born in Goicea commune, Dolj county. Although he studied at a renowned faculty in Bucharest, specifically the Faculty of Automation, Mugur Mihaescu never liked the thought of having a career in the field, he inherited his passion for letters from his mother. This is how it happens that after completing his studies, the Oltean started a humorous career with his friends Radu Pietreanu and the late Dan Sava, creating the Vacanta Mare group. He started his career with the humor group Vacanta Mare, in 1988. Then he and the band organized shows in various locations in Romania. The first show was held in a tractor trailer. Because at that time humorous plays had not invaded the Romanian market, the boys had enormous success. In 1999, they received the offer of a lifetime, that of signing a contract with the Pro TV television station. The boys didn't think twice and thus they got a nice contract with Pro TV. Thus, they also appeared on the small screens and people from the whole country always followed them with their hearts in their mouths and were amused by their jokes. Shortly after they became famous, their colleague Dan Sava died, and Mugur and Radu continued their careers. For many years they amused the Romanians and currently the group consists of Mugur, Radu and Florin Petrescu. Films such as Garcea si oltenii, Leana si Costel or Trei frat de belea brought their careers to the highest heights of success and enjoyed a record audience. Currently the members of the group have taken a break to rest and at the same time to return with new things on the small screens where they are awaited by thousands of Romanians from all over Romania. Since 1999, Vacanta Mare started making shows for ProTV with "Pastila Timpului". Mugur Mihaescu played in the movie "Garcea and Oltenii", where he had 3 roles.
