Gianni Skaragas

Gianni Skaragas is a novelist, screenwriter and playwright. He writes in both English and Greek. He is the author of nine books in Greece and Switzerland. He has written eight plays for theatre, two sitcoms and three drama series for television. His English short stories and poetry have appeared in Copper Nickel, American Chordata, World Literature Today, The Tower Journal, Crannóg, Spilled Milk, The Charles Carter, and elsewhere. His English play Prime Numbers premiered in NYC in February 2009. He is a Fulbright Fellow, member of the Association of European Journalists, and the recipient of various grants and residencies in the U.S. and Europe. His play Courage, premiered in Zurich in 2017 at Keller Theater. In 2018 he was awarded the Copper Nickel Editors' Prize in Fiction (University of Colorado).
