Alo Kõrve was born on December 2, 1978 in Kelmiküla, Jõgevamaa. He graduated Jõgeva Gymnasium, where he took part in the work of school's drama club "Liblikapüüdja". Estonian Academy of Music's Higher Theatre School's 20th course's main teacher Elmo Nüganen has said that at first Alo wasn't chosen to be part of the course. But since one of the chosen young men decided to study something else Alo got his chance. He and two other candidates were called back to the exam commission and Alo got in. Four years later he gaduated Estonian Academy of Music's Higher Theatre School alongside of Evelin Võigemast, Priit Võigemast, Hele Kõrve, Argo Aadli etc. Alo and his living partner Hele Kõrve decided to chose Tallin City Theatre as their "home-theatre". The grand finale for that course was film _Nimed Marmortahvlil (2002)_, he played Käsper there. But most of his remarkable performances have taken place in theatre. He has played Vincent van Gogh (in "Vincent", which was concidered to be one of the best plays when it came out), Mordaunt (in "Musketeers 20 Years Later"), Iivan (in "HIV") etc. He has received award Kristallkingake (Crystal Shoe Award) in 2001. And he was nominated for the Estonian Theatre Awards in 2004.
