Fay Xyla is an established Greek actress. She graduated from the National Theatre of Greece in 1999 and since then she has held lead roles in numerous theatre productions and in some of the highest ranked TV series and films in Greece and in Cyprus. In theatre her first star role was in David Auburn's "Proof" in the role of Claire, directed by the great Greek director Konstantinos Arvanitakis in 2002. Since then she has performed in more than 20 stage productions in the lead role; among others in Sophocles "Electra", Anton Chekhov's "Three Sisters", Noel Coward's "Design for living", Carlo Goldoni's "The Servant of Two Masters", Eugene Ionesco's "The Bald Soprano" etc. Fay's TV debut was in 2002 with a lead role in the successful drama series "Fevga", which earned her rave reviews for her portrayal of a young sensitive drug-addicted woman. In "Mystika tis Edem" (2008-2011) with her star role as Eva Haritou, Fay became extremely popular in Greece -and abroad- and one of Greece's most sought after leading women. The series was a huge success, airing for 4 years on prime-time (625 episodes with average ratings 50%!). Moreover, the series was aired with success in Cyprus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and in Dubai, Iran, Iraq, United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan through FARSI1 channel. Now, Fay Xyla after having starred in more than 25 Greek TV-series and films, is having her international debut co-starring in the Dutch-Morrocan film "Water of love".
