Mark Strange is a British actor with extensive experience in film, television and martial arts. His early film work includes Twins Effect under action director Donnie Yen (Star Wars: Rogue One) and appearing with Jackie Chan (Rush Hour) in two movies, plus work on Batman Begins and Red 2. Later, he starred in Displaced, a British sci-fi action film featuring Sir Ian McKellen (The Lord of the Rings trilogy). Strange then went on to star in 12 (aka Underground), one of the most successful independent British fight films of all time. Next, he co-starred in Bodyguard: A New Beginning, played a fighting role in Best Laid Plans, alongside Stephen Graham (The Irishman) and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost). Strange went onto play the villain in Indian blockbuster, Adam Joan, which received a world wide cinema release. He also featured in Stan Lee's Lucky Man alongside James Nesbitt (The Hobbit trilogy). Strange next took a lead role in the acclaimed action-horror Redcon-1. The film went onto win several awards including a National Film Award and and also won five categories at the Urban Action Showcase in New York. The film received a theatrical release in the UK and many other countries, as well as a Netflix release. Strange was invited to promote the film at the main stage panels of MCM Comic Con in both London and Glasgow. Next, Strange played a supporting role and fought fellow action star Scott Adkins (Marvel Studio's Doctor Strange) in the gritty action-thriller Avengement directed by Jesse V. Johnson (Accident Man), and appeared alongside Craig Fairbrass (Muscle), Nick Moran (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) and Thomas Turgoose (This is England). The film also received a global release on Netflix. Strange is currently featured in Ip Man 4: The Finale, the highest grossing martial arts film of all time, where he fights the character of Bruce Lee played by Danny Chan. On the film, Strange worked under legendary action choreographer Yuen Woo-ping (The Matrix trilogy, Kill Bill). Ip Man 4 also stars Donnie Yen and Scott Adkins and went onto win the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Choreography. The film was released internationally in cinema and streaming and in the U.K. by Universal Pictures. With his eclectic martial arts background, Strange has worked as a fight coordinator handling fights and stunts on Lionsgate horror, The Thompsons, World of the Dead: The Zombie Diaries and many more.
