Asha Kale

She started acting at the young age of 14 with Marathi nataks. She has completed formal education in Kathak, and used to conduct dance performances. Her name after marriage is Gauri Madhav Naik, but she continued with the same onstage name. She lives in Mahim after her Marriage. Her early education happened in Kolhapur and Pune. Tambdi mati was her first movie and Seemevarun Parat Jaa her first commercial natak. Asha Kale has won many lifetime achievement awards such as the V. Shantaram Jeevan Gaurav, for her long contribution to Marathi cinema.
