María Merlino

She studied acting with Alejandro Urdapilleta, Ricardo Bartis, Javier Daulte and Julio Chavez. In 2008, together with Diego Lerman, she founded the Compañía Teatral Flor de un Día, producing plays, several of them with Merlino's performance, which have participated in numerous national and international festivals and received many awards, making it one of the most outstanding independent theater companies in the country. Although her focus is on her own company, she also has experience in other spaces. Her career also extends to film and television, both with Diego Lerman as well as with other professionals such as Jazmín Stuart and Adrián Caetano. In 2003 she received the Best Actress Award at the Havana Festival, together with the entire female cast, for their joint performance in Tan de Repente.
