Esther Turan

Esther Turan is a founding member of Moviebar Productions; One of Hungary's leading, award-winning film production companies. As a Hungarian Film Academy graduate and TV directing major she has turned towards producing and became a producer. She is deeply involved in the creative process of every project. Her experience includes a wide range of productions from auteur-driven no budget features and shorts, through major TVCs for well-known brands to American and European feature films and TV series. In 2017 she has finished her directorial debut: the 1st episode of a documentary series called "BP Underground" which explores youth subcultures in Budapest, Hungary in the '90s and 2000's. In 2018 she completed the 2nd episode, and for that, she won with her co-director, Anna Koltay, the prestigious Highlights Of Hungary Award (2019). She is developing her first script with the support of the Hungarian Film Fund.
