Cheryl-Lee Fast is a Canadian actor, comedian, writer, director, producer. She was born and raised in small town Saskatchewan to a missionary family before serving in Japan in the soup kitchens for the homeless, writing for an English newspaper and performing in theatre productions outside Tokyo. Fast went on to receive a Bachelor of Commerce degree before moving to Vancouver to develop film projects for Massey Productions and later for her own company Fast Productions where she was a script doctor and development producer for television features with American networks and foreign distribution. During this time, Fast wrote and directed various short films and music videos for various broadcasters. Later, Fast moved to China to build film schools, developing programming and western style administration to support the Chinese film community. Her role was split between script doctoring, writing/directing mentorship and administration. Since 2019, Cheryl-Lee has been training in Meisner for acting, developing her radio show with The local Beaumont art studios, and practicing stand up with The House of Comedy - a Canadian/American pro-am comedy house franchise. Presently, Cheryl-Lee is the VP on the not for profit board for - The Stand Up for Mental Health Society (SMH), where a six month stand up training program is available for those suffering with mental health issues. It is a high profile program and recently a workshop was presented to the American Secret Service for those working in dangerous and high pressure jobs, educating on the benefits of writing tragedy in humor for strong mental health. In 2020, Cheryl-Lee has published short stories alongside various award winning authors in four separate anthologies for purchase on Amazon. Cheryl-Lee is presently living in Vancouver, accumulating her CME hours in trauma training and behavioral science, prepping her lead role in a theatrical production of The Paper Boat set for 2022 in Toronto, writing a collection of short stories and prepping for her next stand up show.
