Jabeen Merchant

Jabeen Merchant is a film editor, script consultant and teacher based in Mumbai. She works with both fiction and non-fiction. Trained at the Film & Television Institute of India, she is known for her wide experience in the Indian film and TV industry over more than 25 years. Her work spans mainstream Bollywood, art house cinema, television, web shows, short fiction and documentary films. Jabeen is particularly regarded as editor and co-scriptwriter on a number of feature length documentaries in collaboration with some of India's best known independent filmmakers. Her documentary work has traveled extensively to festivals all over the world and been broadcast in the USA, Japan and Europe.
