Rafael Maluenda

Rafael Maluenda is a Spanish director and writer, known for 'BERLANGA!!' (2021). He gained his filmmaking training alongside top director Luis García Berlanga, joining his crew in 'Todos a la cárcel', 'Blasco Ibáñez' and 'París Tombuctú'. He also joined other filmmaker's crews, and wrote and directed 'Juego de llaves' (1995) and 'Demasiado tarde' (1998). In 1997 he began working in the programming department of the Valencia International Film Festival Cinema Jove, and became its director for seventeen editions, until 2016. He also created and directed the Berlanga Film Museum, an online museum dedicated to the works and life of García Berlanga. After his festival years, he went back to filmmaking as a writer and director.
