Betty Bigas

Betty Bigas is a multidisciplinary artist and curator from Barcelona, Spain, residing in San Francisco, CA. Head Curator of the digital art gallery Daylighted Gallery Director and Curator of Roll Up Gallery SF, located inside the event space Public Works SF and Guest Curator for NightlifeLIVE at California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco, CA. US. Betty earned her bachelor's degree in 1999 and master's degree in Multimedia Art and Design from Bau, Centro Universitario de Diseño of Barcelona in 2001. The daughter of the late Spanish film director and artist, Bigas Luna, and the casting director Consol Tura, Betty's work reflects her eclectic artistic heritage as well as her own singular perspective in producing and promoting art in shifting cultural landscapes. Betty's work explores the dynamic links between culture and art through broad media including graphic design, photography, video and film. Her passion is in promoting and creating artistic connections that redefine cultural and geographical boundaries.
