Nicolas Robin is a French actor. He grew up in the west of France between the ocean and the country. In love with the nature, he grew up with horses and dogs in the country, and support many organizations to protect animals. Nicolas started acting at 11, when he was discovered by French director José Pinheiro to play the lead in his TV movie "l'instit", shot in his hometown. Immediately, he got an agent and started to work in France with directors such as Renaud Bertrand, Pascal Chaumeil, Arnaud Selignac...getting the leading part in several TV movies. Nicolas rides horses at a professional level (show jumping, dressage...and breeds them as well), he does a lot of sports such as martial arts, surfing, windsurfing, running, snowboarding... Regarding Theater, Nicolas started at school and won later on, the "best young actor" award, at the Festival de Théâtre de Pont L'Abbé. After a summer in London, when he was 20, Nicolas moved to NYC and started to work on his accent with top dialect coach Deb Hecht. Being a huge fan of dialects, he can now do an American accent, Russian, German, French, Polish, Danish... At the same time, he studied with John Strasberg and at the Michael Howard Studio in NYC. When he was 22, Nicolas got the lead in the movie "Black Ocean" directed by the famous Belgian director Marion Hänsel, after 8 months of audition. The film World Premiered at the Venise Film Festival and was selected to TIFF, Pusan, Sao Paulo, Paris, Malmö (best film)...) Then, he pursued his career in Europe working with actors such as Christopher Lambert, Romain Duris, Guillaume Canet, Claude Brasseur, Jean Paul Rouve, Marc Zinga...and attended other film festivals like the Cannes Film Festival when he was part of the movie "The King of Escape" directed by Cesar Award Winner and Cannes "prix de la mise en scène" winner Alain Guiraudie. In love with indie movies, he worked with Belgian director Patrick Glotz, French directors Nicolas Boukhrief, Gabriel Le Bomin... In 2014, Nicolas started to work in English in movies such as "the Program" directed by Stephen Frears alongside Ben Foster, Chris O'dowd, Dustin Hoffman, Jesse Plemmons... and on the show Crossing lines alongside William Fichtner, Carrie Anne Moss, Donald Sutherland... Nicolas also writes, directs, works as a model, and has a degree (BAC +2) in International Trade.
