Hilari Scarl is an award-winning writer/director/producer who was chosen by Steven Spielberg out of 12,000 filmmakers to appear his television show On the Lot. Her multi-award-winning feature film See What I'm Saying: The Deaf Entertainers Documentary received Critics' Pick in the New York Times, a theatrical release in 600 cities and is available on Netflix DVD, Amazon and iTunes. She produced the multi-award-winning drama No Ordinary Hero featuring Marlee Matlin and produced reality shows on CBS, TLC, Court TV, FOX and the History Channel. She is the creator/writer/director of The Whatever Years, a coming-of-age series that deals with bullying, gun control, mental illness, LGBTQ youth identity and food insecurity. Hilari was a participant in the PGA's Power of Diversity workshop with an original TV pilot and taught screenwriting for three months in Beijing for Relativity at their new studio in China. Hilari was a panelist at the Sundance Art House Convergence and has consulted at Disney, Google, Anheiser-Busch, Nike and Sprint. She has been hired to write/direct/produce the dramatic feature film OM starring a deaf actor in India as her next project.
