James LaViola

James LaViola has a long and varied history with productions and computer technology. Early work included integrating computers and video technology and assisting in developing emerging systems for display of various educational materials in research, development and training environments. James has worked in a variety of roles in production, from running a film stage's grip & lighting room to managing the sound stages for hundreds of music videos and commercials. While working in the camera department, his focus shifted and he joined the fast growing development of the Internet. After a 4 year vacation in Brazil, where he owned and operated a small hotel, he is back in Los Angeles. His focus has been on design, development and management of infrastructures, process workflow and production & post operations. James is also a DI colorist and stereoscopic artist finishing commercials and feature films.
