Hank White Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, a Social Activist and film industry veteran with over forty five years experience as an Actor, Producer, Writer, Casting Director and Director. Hank is Acadian, Mi'kmaq, Cree and member of Nova Scotia Native Council Zone 12 and Eastern Woodland Metis. He Started Acting at age 10 at the Central Commons Music class, the Pond Playhouse, Neptune Theatre second stage, Pier1 theatre, Seaweed Theatre and Dream Productions. He started Hank White Productions in 1979 and was the first Casting Director in Nova Scotia to 1992. (best known for his diversity in casting and crew) He was a founder of the Aboriginal and Visible Minority Shadow Program. A founding member of the Alliance of Aboriginal Media Professionals (AAMP), Anti Racism Committee (PSAC) created in 1986, The National Indigenous Peoples' Circle (NIPC) created in 2003. He is Co-owner of Redemption Pictures Inc. and a Producer on: Charlie Zone (Feature): shot in 2011 Starring Glen Gould, Amanda Crew and Mpho Koaho (Awards: Best Feature; Director; Cinematographer and Best Actor for Glen Gould at the 2011 Atlantic International Film Festival) Charlie Zone was the first Indigenous produced feature film in Nova Scotia.
