Mary Faktor was born in Chicago, and began acting locally at the age of 33 as background talent in several major films including: The Untouchables, Adventures in Babysitting, Uncle Buck, Midnight Run and many others. She began getting cast in local commercials and industrial films. During this time, Mary trained at The Second City of Chicago and after graduating, joined the Improv troupe, General Eclectic. During this time, Mary wrote, produced and began touring with her original one-woman comedy show, The Six Ages of Woman, which she continues to perform for audiences nationally and internationally to this day. In 1990, Ms. Faktor moved to Cleveland Ohio, joined SAG-AFTRA, and performed in multiple television commercials, radio voice-overs, and industrial films. In 2003 Mary was cast in the opening flashback in the HBO/ Miramax film, American Splendor, with Paul Giamatti. The film was nominated for the "Best Original Screenplay" Oscar, but lost that year to "Lord of The Rings. Mary has since had feature supporting roles in numerous independent SAG films. Mary is married and two grown children and five grandchildren. Besides her membership in SAG-AFTRA, Mary is a member of the Global Speakers Federation and National Speakers Association. She offers her original keynote presentations and life-balance workshops nationally and internationally, and continues presenting her popular comedy show to help organizations, churches, charities, hospitals and schools to raise funds.
