Born in Toronto and raised in Vancouver, BC, Adam takes his inspiration from his Chinese-Jamaican single mother and globetrotting Northern New Mexican father. Adam Matthew Chin (McLean) studied screenwriting at Stanford University and acting at the prestigious Studio 58 program in Vancouver. As an actor, he has worked in film, TV and the theatre. As a writer, director, producer and editor he has created plays, short films (including the award-winning "Potage de Ma Mere"), music videos, and his first feature: "Shedding Skin" premiered in 2007 at the Academy qualifying 8th annual Santa Fe Film Festival and the 9th annual Gulf Coast Film Festival. Adam Matthew Chin's second feature "The Pardoner's Tale" (distributed by River Coast Films) played at the 2009 Santa Fe Film Festival, the 2010 Albuquerque Film Festival and the 2011 Action on Film Festival in Pasadena, California. Adam has worked around the globe for organizations as diverse as Funny or Die, New Urbanist Media, the American Film Institute and the World Bank Group. He lives and works in Los Angeles, California and will be attending Columbia University's Screenwriting & Directing MFA in New York City in the fall of 2023.
