Daniel Zagayer is a dynamic and visionary filmmaker whose work has garnered critical acclaim at film festivals around the world. With a degree in film production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, Daniel brings a unique perspective and style to his storytelling, rooted in classical film theory adapted to 21st-century conventions. Daniel made his mark with his short film, "An Evening at The Diner," which debuted at the historic Chinese Theater in Hollywood and received an official selection from Dances with Films. The comedy short explored the theme of not judging or making assumptions about others through the use of three distinct cinematic styles and received rave reviews for its distinctive approach. It earned a Best Comedic Short award at the Blastoff Film Fest and secured international distribution through Amazon Prime. Currently, in pre-production, Daniel's latest feature film is "Big Girl Face," a crime comedy and three-time Best Comedy Screenplay winner set to shoot in the summer of 2023. In addition to his narrative filmography, Daniel is also an accomplished Cinematographer with experience filming in over 50 countries for networks like Discovery, Travel Channel, and Nat Geo. Some of his credits include Expedition Unknown, Naked and Afraid, Ghost Nation, Tails from the Explorers Club, and multiple seasons of Shark Week. As an avid traveler and filmmaker, Daniel is always on the lookout for new and exciting projects to sink his teeth into.
