Bent Stuckert is one of Danish television's best-known political reporters. He is broadcaster DR's key figure in coverage of parliamentary politics and has reported from multiple Danish elections. His journalistic career began in 1961 with regional daily Vestkysten in Esbjerg. From 1965 he functioned as the paper's Copenhagen correspondent, then worked for a few other newspapers. In 1978 he joined Danmarks Radio's television news, TV-Avisen (1965), where he has worked since with the exception of the years 1985 to 1987 when he was a communications director for the organization of Danish local municipalities.
