Robert Stochmal

Robert Stochmal was born on 14 March 1967 in Tarnów, Poland. He is an actor, a dancer and a musician. Since 2005 married to the model Daria who has Sir John Gielgud among her relatives. Father of two daughters, Lena and Nela. Since the early age trained in various artistic disciplines. He is a graduate of the School of Music, piano class, 1982 and accordion class, 1984. In 1991 obtained a certificate of the trainer of physical recreation, specialising in fitness. Since 1987 a dancer and since 1991 a choreographer of ballroom dance. In 1994 graduated from the National Academy of Theatre Arts in Cracow by presenting his diploma theatrical performance "BÓG" [GOD] by W. Allen, directed by Rafal Jedrzejczyk. Robert Stochmal started his acting career in 1988-91 at the "Warsztatowa" Theatrical Centre of Tarnów. In 1994-95 he was an actor of the Ludwik Solski Theatre of Tarnów, and in 1996-98 of the Cracow Theatre "Groteska". Simultaneously, he became a dancer and choreographer of the Ballroom Dance Club "RAMA" in 1991, and since 1994 he has been the director of modeling agency "RAMA". His major achievements in acting are the important roles in the play written by A. Camus, "Caligula", directed by Jacek Glomb, and in "Treasure Island" by R. Stevenson, directed by L. Czarnota, as well as a leading role in "GOD" by W. Allen, directed by Rafal Jedrzejczyk. His cinema roles comprise the films: "Wrota Europy" [The Gates of Europe] directed by J. Wójcik, "Przedwiosnie" [Before the Spring] directed by F. Bajon and "Zapomniana noc" [The Forgotten Night] directed by M. Friedrich for which he received the Award for the Best Actor at the Youth Film Festival "Stop". On TV he could be seen in mini-series "Przedwiosnie" [Before the Spring] and in TV theatrical performance "Sen srebrny Salomei" [The Silver Dream of Salomeah] . Amongst his directing achievements is the music performance "Show Girls", as well as dozens of fashion and dancing shows across Poland. His trainees have won most prestigious competitions in the category of the best male and female models, such as the Poznan International Trade Fair, the Ford and Elite Supermodel-Poland, and received the top awards in dancing contests. Robert Stochmal was awarded the Golden, Silver and Bronze Orders from TKKF [the Tarnów Society for Promoting Physical Culture] and the order of merit "Zasluzony Dzialacz Kultury Fizycznej" [Order of Merit for Promoting Physical Culture].
