Stacy Da Silva - Sunrise Eagle Woman - is a mixed-blood Cree (from Saddle Lake First Nation, Alberta) and Portuguese woman. She resides in Calgary, Alberta. Stacy uses her passion for storytelling, theatre and arts to share her culture and promote healing and self-empowerment. Stacy has been in Film and Television for over twenty years. Her first appearance began on the popular Canadian CBC broadcast North of 60. She starred in the film Hank Williams First Nation (2005) which earned her Best Actress and the American Indian Movie Award at the American Indian Film Festival. Her recent works include the new APTN television show Tribal (2020) and the short films; Broken Records (2019), Lost (2019), Parent Council (2019), The Root of the Problem (2019) and The Healing (2018). Stacy also performs her One woman show - Dream Stealer, About the stages of life, finding balance from the medicine wheel and cultural teachings, and overcoming domestic violence. Stacy has completed her actor training from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood, California and the Full Circle Native Theatre Ensemble program. Stacy uses the arts as a medium to empower women and strengthen their mental wellness, promote women's empowerment through body movement and dance, and discovery of self love. Stacy teaches motivational workshops to deal with issues around identity, self-esteem and personal growth. Stacy's future passions include furthering her craft in film production and creating opportunities for others within the Indigenous community.
