Ridgely Abele

Ridgely A. Abele was a well known Southern martial artist. He was a teacher, fighter, World Champion, fight promoter, and movie actor. Ridgely Abel was born on August 9, 1950. He grew up in Miami, Florida, and later moved to West Columbia, SC. He was a 9th degree black belt, a winner of the USKA World Championship. Abele was the owner of the Colombia School of Karate do. Graduate of Florida State University and a doctorate of Asian Studies. He died on December 10, 2009 from cancer. Ridgely Abele was 59.
