Born in West Yorkshire, Dominic spent the first ten years of his life near the moors in Haworth in Wuthering Heights, Bronte country. His father was from Scotland his mother was from Yorkshire. Dominic moved South and then attended the 'Jackie Palmer Stage School' with James Corden. His first big break came the age of 14. This was a leading theatre role in 'Killing the Cat', opposite Sean Bean, at the Royal Court Theatre-Upstairs, directed by Sue Dunderdale, Head of Diirecting at Rada. He later attended the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts Drama School in London. Whilst there he won the Equity Fight Challenge for the best stage Combat scene. So, in addition to acting, Dominic used his natural talents to train to be a Fight Director, Stage Combat Teacher and Stunt Action performer. His first job out of Drama School was a part at the Royal National Theatre which involved strangling Sir Ian McKellen in 'Enemy of the People', directed by Sir Trevor Nunn. Although predominantly a character actor his roles often involve 'action' whether it be victim or aggressor. His breakthrough leading roles were 'Autistic Frank' in 'Kin', directed by Brian Welsh and 'Supertramp', a film Directed by Philippe Leone. He received a nomination as the 'Best Male Action Performer of the year' in 2010 from the Action on Film Awards USA for this 'Supertramp' portrayal. Utilising his acting, stunt skills and physical comedy Dominic is now working with the best talent in the industry.
