Named by New York magazine as "one of New York's top designers," Jes Gordon is one of most sought-after event producers and designers in the country. She first stumbled into the industry at the age of thirteen as an assistant to a floral designer, before eventually opening a contemporary art gallery and flower shop, and working in set design for the films "Interview with the Vampire" and "Dead Man Walking." In 1992, Jes become one of the youngest Events and Décor Director at New York City's famed Tavern on the Green. Her stunning work there led to private commissions for celebrities like Madonna, Barbra Streisand and Jennifer Lopez, to name a few. At the age of 20, Jes left to start her own event design and production firm. Over the past 20 years, her firm, jesGORDON/properFUN has expanded with a second office in Los Angeles, and has continued to captivate both celebrity and corporate clientèle. In 1995, she was named one of BiZBash's 10 Event Designers to Watch, and has received numerous honors, including a 2006 BiZBash EventStyle Award and most recently, two 2009 Big Apple Awards, presented by the International Special Events Society. Jes' first book, "Party Like a Rock Star...The Celebrity Party Planner's Tips and Tricks For Throwing An Unforgettable Bash" was released in October 2009.
