From an early age, Hertfordshire born Blake was active lad. Educated at Newport Grammar School in Essex he excelling in many sports at with only injuries curtailing a potential sporting career. After watching a documentary about being a Stuntman he was inspired to become one. However, the training and finances needed were, at that time beyond him. With several changes of direction in his work career which varied from a trainee stockbroker to a helicopter pipeline observer, Blake entered service with the Royal Marines in 1992. However, injuries once again put a stop to any progress and during his medical discharge phase he found another challenge. Blake was a keen historical horse rider and whilst filling in for a friend at a jousting show was introduced to film & TV stunt coordinators Derek Ware and Tony Smart. This led to his determination to succeed and after three years of training in fencing, British Academy of Dramatic Arts under Derek, trampoline, sky diving, sub aqua diving, horse riding, martial arts, motor sports and coupled with his extensive firearms experience was accepted onto the British Equity Stunt Register in 1997. Blake has doubled for a number of prominent actors including Julian Fellows, Paul Giamitti, Tom Sizemore, Paul Loughran, Kim Bodnia and Paul Walter Hauser as well as working on some of the iconic films of the time. During this time, he wrote, performed and directed several live action shows around the country. In 2015 he began his first film, A Near Run Thing. Planned as a proof of concept for a major feature film this pitch vehicle was released in the Spring of 2017. Blake Co-Hosts the International acclaimed podcast, The StuntPod with writer Jon Auty as well as continues to develop a slate of projects from feature films to documentaries. Blakes passion for Rugby Football and Adventure Motorcycling take him far and wide when downtime allows.
