Broadcast journalist Cleve Hermann was a fixture of Los Angeles-area radio for over 40 years. Born into an Amish family in Peoria, Illinois, he was raised in Southern California from age six. He studied journalism at USC and was a sports reporter for several local newspapers before entering broadcasting in 1948. From 1952 until his retirement in 1990 he was a newscaster, sportscaster and commentator for Hollywood station KFWB, best known for his regular segments "Live Line to the World of Sports" and "At Large in L.A."
