Brad Gover makes dramatic films, documentaries, and interactive media. The Care Package (2006), his first fictional short film, played to sold out audiences at prominent film festivals across Canada. His producing credits include the NFB interactive documentary about restaurant dishwashers entitled "Bubble Dancers: Life in the Dishpit" [2014], as well as The Needle and the Damage Undone (2012), a CBC television documentary that explores the impact harm reduction has on the lives of people who use injection drugs. He then directed the follow-up to that documentary, entitled Sister Morphine (2014), about Newfoundland nurses who struggle with addiction to the drugs they administer on a daily basis. Brad most recently produced two feature films, Away from Everywhere (2016), starring Shawn Doyle, Joanne Kelly and Jason Priestley, and Riverhead (2016), about a blood-feud between two families that divides a small Newfoundland outport community. He also recently produced a number of short films, including Wife and Death (2016) by well-known comedian Matt Wright and co-starring Greg Malone of CODCO fame, as well as the television pilot The Slattery Street Crockers (2013), written and directed by international best selling novelist, Kenneth J. Harvey. Brad serves on the Board of Directors for NIFCO, the Newfoundland Independent Filmmakers Co-Operative, as well as PANL, the Producers Association of Newfoundland and Labrador, and is a former president of the Nickel Independent Film Festival.
