Songwriter, singer, composer, arranger and author, educated at the University of Southern California. He instructed instrumental and vocal groups at USC, and formed a male quartet there. Eventually he joined the staff at KFI (NBC) and KHJ (CBS)in Los Angeles and began arranging music for films and radio as well as directing choral groups. In Long Beach, California he conducted the Elks Chorus. Joining ASCAP in 1961, his chief musical collaborator was Katharine Bainbridge, and his popular-song compositions include "A Friend or Two".
