Bulgarian pianist and composer Mira Iskarova was born on April 14, 1978 in Burgas, Bulgaria. She began her studies at the Bourgas Music School, Bulgaria with Julia Nenova and Radka Chomakova, followed by the National Music Academy "Professor Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia with Professor Marina Kapatsinskaya, where she graduated with a Master degree. Mira Iskarova has established a reputation as a pianist and composer of extraordinary breadth and versatility. Her repertoire is firmly centered on the great classics. She took part in various concerts and festivals not only as a soloist, but also as a part of Chamber Music Formation for Baroque Music; as well she is an acclaimed exponent of contemporary music. As a composer Mira Iskarova has made various works in the area of cinema and theatre music. Some of the movies and theatrical performances she composed music for, have taken part in many prestige Film Festivals as Sarajevo Film Festival ("Lady Zee", 2007), Shanghai Film Festival ("The Meat" - short, 2010, "Buffer Zone", 2015), Lucerne International Film Festival, (Salty and Sweet - short, 2011), Cannes Film Festival ("Elephant" - short, 2012), Golden Rose Film Festival ("Buffer Zone", 2014), Sofia Film Fest ("Ginka", 2015). Mira Iskarova works in a National Music Academy "Professor Pancho Vladigerov", Bulgaria as an opera singer's accompanist. She is the mother of Yavor Namliev.
