Priya Balachandran

Born in Barbados. Moved to Barnsley, Yorkshire, England when she was 1 years old. At the age of 18 she moved to London to study English Literature, B.A. Hons. at QMW, London University. After university was accepted on an elite fast track management scheme for publishers at United Newspapers. Did two years with newspapers and then moved to Radio and finally to television, starting at Granada TV in Manchester. Worked in Manchester for a couple of years and then returned to London to work on Channel 4's "The Big Breakfast". Lives in Santa Monica, Los Angeles with her husband Patrick Flanagan and their dog, Lola. Has a daughter, Kali Flanagan
