Susan was born in Highgate, North London in 1966 and brought up in Harrow, Middlesex (UK). She first became interested in acting whilst at Cedars Junior School, where she auditioned for every single part in a production of Jungle Book, before finally being cast as Bagheera, the panther. When her teachers asked her where her script was at the first rehearsal, she replied that she had learnt it already. This habit stood her in good stead later on in panto, children's theatre and pub theatre. Susan trained at Drama Centre London. Whilst appearing in a production of 'Strippers' by Peter Terson, at The Hope and Anchor in Islington, she was seen by director Antonia Bird, who then offered her a small part in an episode of Inspector Morse (Absolute Conviction). Susan currently works with Melting Pot Theatre company in Worcestershire, UK.
