Klemens Patijn is an all-round artist who was born in Leidschendam but grew up in Breda, also in The Netherlands. He played in various bands through his youth and took up photography and camera work as a hobby, while studying audiovisual design at the local St. Joost Kunstacademie, where he made 'Toet Toet' and 'Ezra en Ik' (both 1998/1999) as final exam movies. He then moved to Amsterdam to learn acting at the Toneelschool and the Kleinkunstacademie. As an actor he mastered his trade at a slew of theater plays, festivals and companies, among which Noord Nederlands Toneel, Toneelgroep Amsterdam and MUZ Theater. For some of the plays he also wrote the script: 'Het Verdwijnt Vanzelf' (2002) and the solo performance 'Vierkwartsmaat' (2003/2004). From 2002 onwards Patijn appeared in a host of TV series, such as Russen (2000), Café de Wereld (2003), and Intensive Care (2002). In 2005 he made his international movie debut in Adrian Bol's Castingx (2005), playing lead character Steven. Klemens Patijn also still makes music; he's a skilled piano player and no stranger to drums, guitar and percussion.
