Roger Hair

Roger Hair has over 40 years of law enforcement and security experience. He began his VIP security assignments while in college providing security for top entertainment talent, visiting lecturers and members of Congress. Clients included Billy Joel, Bonnie Raitt, Jack Anderson, and Senator William Proxmire. He entered law enforcement service in 1979 and retired in 2000 as the Chief Deputy for the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office in North Carolina. While in law enforcement, he served in SWAT and VIP Protection command roles including judicial protection during a trial for a defendant convicted for the execution of a federal witness. During the last 15 years, he has provided personal protection for multiple film productions and talent, numerous members of Congress, and foreign visitors. Roger's exposure to the film industry led to being asked to provide weapons training for actors and on-set armoring. He is an absolute stickler for weapon/set safety and has received repeated commendations for helping actors work through challenging scenes. During 1996 - 1998 Roger produced the security industry's first comprehensive bodyguard training teaching videos with former members of the US Department of Energy's top secret security trainers, former members of the US military Special Operations including DELTA, and elite security personnel for A-list celebrities and foreign dignitaries. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Justice and Policy Studies from Guilford College and is an adjunct instructor for criminal justice programs in North Carolina. Roger is a factory trained armorer, holds a Manufacturer's Federal Firearms License, a private pilot's certificate, a PADI advanced open water/ police diver rating, and is a licensed general contractor in NC. With a long time love of metal fabrication, he holds a patent for his portable American football goal post. He is a founding member of the British Bodyguard Association and is a member Wen Wu and the International Bushido Association.
