Ami Armstrong's first produced film was Ethan Hawke's short "Straight to One," which was shot in the Chelsea Hotel and premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 1993. After a decade of producing theater in New York City, Ami turned her focus to features as an executive for Leslie Urdang and Michael Niozik's Serenade Films, where she ran development and production on three movies, including the Spirit Award Nominated "12 and Holding." In 2005, Ami formed Mr. Nice LLC with the intention of broadening her slate to include branded content, episodic television as well as features. The company's first film, "Turn the River" was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award and landed Ami on the short list for Film Independent's Producer of the Year. She's since made seven theatrically released films and consulted on dozens more. In episodic TV, Ami has produced for Warner Bros., HBO, IFC, Funny or Die, Fusion, Hulu and Showtime. Mr. Nice LLC provides creative and production services for commercial agencies as well, producing award winning projects for the brands Microsoft, Live Nation, Dove and Levi's.
