Alejandro Toledo

Alejandro Toledo has established himself over the past 30 years as a leading international filmmaker and commercial director. He is known as a skilled story-teller, with a reputation based upon his unique visual sense, commanding personality, and the ability to elicit powerful performances from demanding actors. Alejandro's attention is focused on feature films and television series. In 2019, he co-directed (with Peter Webber) "Kingdom of Fire" - including four months filming action sequences - an ambitious and highly successful series produced by Genomedia Dubai for MBC and Netflix. Prior to that, he directed the Action Unit for the movie "Loving Pablo" in Colombia, produced by Millennium Films; starring Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and Peter Sarsgaard. He currently is involved in creating original content and IP, for both television and cinema. Alejandro acquired the rights to the book "Seek to Know No More" by the American writer Marc Bhem, (author of many well-known books and stories for screen, including: The Beatles "Help" and "Eye of The Beholder"). He is actively developing this property as an extended television series. It tells the story of Lucy, a very sexy soul hunter who works for the Devil, in a dystopian black-comedy universe, mixing Bukowski and Dashiell Hammet. As a young director he founded Propaganda, one of the largest production companies in Spain. He has since been working non-stop directing campaigns for major brands such as: Mercedes, BMW, KIA, California Lottery, General Motors, Ford, Chevrolet,Toyota, Ferrero, Aero Mexico, etc. His work has received a long list of international awards for film, broadcast commercials and music videos, including: a 2019 "Best of Europe" special Effie Award, and MTV Awards. He is comfortable directing in English, Spanish and French, and is a member of several professional organizations, including The Directors Guild of America (DGA).
