Chris Hahn

New York based actor and writer. From September 2021 through June 2022, past the age of 40, I studied full-time at NYC's HB Studio in their audition-required Uta Hagen Institute 'Hagen Core Training Program.' Twenty-five years prior I had an acting scholarship that paid for much of college. I acted and improvised in NYC and the Hudson Valley while starting my family, and when life took me to Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and I couldn't find a theatre for me, I created my own company: Belongership Theatre Co. to simply create. I never walked away, I just never tried to work professionally, and now, I'm wholly committed to embarking upon a life of "creative living," as Elizabeth Gilbert coined it in her book Big Magic. I loved her book, and it helped me see clearly how fear can extinguish creativity, and why NOW "I'm afraid have no choice but to persevere."
