A co-founder of Noah Media Group, Gabriel is a journalist, writer and director. The Royal Television Society Sports News Reporter of the Year three times, Clarke began to specialise in documentary at ITV in the UK. He wrote and co-directed the Grierson nominated Clough (2009) and the acclaimed boxing film The Fight Of Their Lives (2011), nominated for BAFTA single documentary in 2012. Clarke's first feature documentary as a writer and co-director Steve McQueen: The Man & Le Mans was an official selection for the Cannes Film Festival in 2015 and the signal for the creation of Noah Media Group with producer John McKenna and Executive Producer Barry Smith. In 2017, Gabriel partnered with Noah Media Group co-founder Torquil Jones to write and direct Bobby Robson: More Than A Manager (Netflix), the portrait of the legendary English football manager and winner of the Sports Journalists Association Documentary of the Year. Clarke's 2020 film Finding Jack Charlton (BBC/Virgin Media Ireland) has been recognized by IFTA, BIFA, Grierson and the SJA and won the prestigious Documentary of the Year at the Broadcast Awards 2021, as well as Editors' Choice at the Broadcast Sports Awards. That was followed by Clarke writing and co-directing of Arsène Wenger: Invincible (Amazon/Canal+), which was released by Noah Media Group in 2021 and won the Best Documentary prize at the Venice TV Awards 2022. Clarke was co-writer of the Emmy nominated 14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible (Netflix, 2021), wrote and created TV series South Of The River (BT Sport/ITV/Netflix, 2021) and is co-writer of Villeneuve Pironi (Sky/NBC Universal) releasing 2022/23. Clarke's films have been praised for their original storytelling, editorial rigour and emotional power.
