In 2019-2020 Tornike is working on the full-length documentary co-financed with the Georgian National Films Center. In February 2018, the International premiere of a short film FISHING on Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival 2018 / Third Film on the festival - Research award special mention in the short film competition. Before it won the Tbilisi International Film Festival/Jury Award. 2018-2015 Tornike worked on several projects together with AMA Productions in Paris. Co-production with Reactormonkey Films. In 2015 Tornike had a premiere of his new short film Wake Man (Georgia-France) written by himself, which won Prometheus for the best short film on the Tbilisi International Film Festival. The film had the international premiere at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival in 2016. 2014 Tornike took one of the leading parts in the long feature film The Village. In 2012 took the leading role in Fold In My Blanket by Zaza Rusadze, it was presented Berlin Film Festival 2013 - Official Selection Panorama. The year before he took part in long feature Keep Smiling - Official Selection on Venice Film Festival 2011. In 2012 released a short film NEST (35mm) written and directed by himself, produced by his friend, producer Ad Astra Films. In the film, he worked with his father Koka (Dr. Korneli) Bziava, who performed the mane part in the movie. In 2010 was released a multi-award-winning short film The APRIL CHILL ( 35mm) written and directed by him. Distributed by AdAstra Films/France. A film is about times of Soviet regime, when the Soviet military punished peaceful demonstration on April 9th,1989 in Tbilisi, Georgia. . The film was selected in more than 40 festivals and won more then 25 prices / The April Chill was awarded in Clermont-Ferrand IFF 2010 with International Jury Special Mention. NEST was awarded on Hong Kong IFF audience award 2012 and Tbilisi IFF 2011 with Jury Special Price. Both films were Georgian-French Co-Productions and they were broadcasted on France 3. On both projects, Tornike had script collaboration with his friend, known Georgian screenwriter Dato Chubinishvili. In 2009 Tornike Bziava worked as an Actor and assistant director on R. Harlyn's film 5 Days of War, starring Andy Garcia and Val Kilmer. 2008, one of the leads in feature film Three Houses, directed by Zaza Urushadze /Tangerines (2013). The leading part in feature in film Thy Will Be Done (2007), by Revaz Chkeidze, Georgia's beloved film director. In 2006-7 Tornike won the Fulbright grant and got a full scholarship from the Polish-American Freedom Foundation. He got at Andrzej Wajda's Master School of Film Directing. In 2004 he was invited by his friend Phedon Papamichael as an intern onset of The Weatherman, directed by Gore Verbinski, starring Nicolas Cage and Michael Caine. In 2003-04 Tornike also wrote, directed & produced three experimental features Listen to Chopin (45min), Delirium (65min), and Secret Man (17min) starring Michael Meskhi. In which he retrieved several awards. The experiments were made after his big passion for Theater the absurd at the time. Writers like Eugène Ionesco, Harold Pinter, Edward Albee, Tadeusz Rozewicz, Slawomir Mrozek, Fernando Arrabal, Tom Stoppard, Friedrich Dürrenmatt, Vaclav Havel, Also theater of bio-mechanics, theater directors like Jerzy Grotowski, Jozef Szajna and Tadeusz Kantor. His work also includes main parts in short independent films, like in 2004 The Day Went by Hagen Keller Tornike also took part and directed over 15 commercials including short advertising videos for Building Companies. In 2002-4 he took part as an actor in two Greek-Georgian theater productions: Heine Muller's Medea Material and Michael Marmarinos' National Anthems, both directed by Michael Marmarinos. Theater bio-mechanics The shows were successfully performed in Athens and Moscow Theatrical Olympics. In 2001 he performed in theater production Pygmalion at Marjanishvili State Theater, the role of Alfred Doolittle, and was awarded for year's best post-graduated actor. In 2000 performed Shakespeare Poetry at Vanessa Redgrave's birthday, National Theater, London Tornike Bziava is a grandson of renowned Georgian Film director Siko Dolidze and son of director Keti Dolidze, founder & artistic director of GIFT - International Theater Festival in Tbilisi and founder & artistic director of Michael Tumanishvili's Film Actor's Theater. He took part in several features as an actor in very early years, the late 80s and early 90s
