Born in 1980, Ron Tenkely was raised in the decaying steel towns of East Chicago & Gary, Indiana. During his childhood Ron displayed a great range of acting, improv & musical abilities. School plays brought out his love for acting, but there weren't to many options for him to showcase his talent. Leaving his acting dreams behind in his teenage years he stumbled across a microphone. Taking cues from his childhood hero's, (Dr. Dre, N.W.A., Tupac Shakur among others) he formed Hardcore Records in 1996 at the age of 15. His determination found him signing a development deal with Music Services Unlimited, however before any material was released, Warner Bros. merged with EMI and MSU was dissolved. Undeterred, Ron kept at it and soon rebounded with Gangstafied Entertainment. He appeared on a lone Compilation Album that was quietly released in 1998. After parting ways with his business partner in 1999, Ron started E.CHIstyle Muziq. E.CHIstyle Muziq was setup as a music promotion company to help other artists breakthough. Fed up with industry politics in 2001 Ron left music alone and moved to Las Vegas to get back into acting. In 2002 he met Brian Lucas, who in turn introduced him to Terrance Malick's step-son Will Wallace. Working on his first Film, the Steven Tye Culbert written, and Will Wallace directed "Bob Steel", Ron went from directing the behind the scenes documentary to landing a speaking role. The Film, starring Will Wallace & Patrick Wharburton (of Seinfeld & The Tick fame) is a cult classic. From "Bob Steel", Ron has worked behind the scenes on the following movies: Miss Congeniality 2, Domino, Lucky You, Retirement, Vegas Bachelor Party, and Ocean's Thirteen. In 2005, Ron rediscovered his hunger for music, and transformed E.CHIstyle Muziq into a full fledged Music Label/ Mgmt. firm. Since 2005 he has co-exec. produced the highly successful Indiana Stand Up Compilation series. Readying his next release in Summer of 2009, Ron is also back in the movies penning the scripts Heir To Tha Throne, and an untitled project based on The Eagles "Hotel California" song. Ron's company, Nu Era Muziq Group is a driving force in underground music scene. Currently Ron is hard at work on the following releases: Tha Low Flow Playaz 4th LP, "W.A.R.", Critical's debut, "Ur Royal Flyness", Product's "ElectroSWAGnetic", just C.O.S. debut, "A Higher Level of Hip Hop", A group effort, "Villain Radio", and of course his own long gesturing "Thru My Eyez". Tenkely splits his time between Northwest Indiana, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Niagra Falls, New York.
