Chad Phillips

Chad Phillips was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and matriculated from D.C.P.S. During his earlier years his Mother, Lorraine, ran a casting agency and by default Chad grew to love being in front of the camera. Due to missing school his parents decided that an education was first and foremost so Chad had to give up his dream of becoming an Actor. However that did not stop him. After finishing school he attended the London School of Dramatic Arts and graduated in 2009. Upon his return to South Africa he was lucky enough to audition for Emma Ress Management, a highly sort after agency. There was one casting available the next day and ERM wanted to put him to the test. He booked the job performing alongside Rosamund Pike in the film "Women in Love" and it gave him the confidence that this is what he was meant to do. Chad has always been a passionate performer and it shows in his work. At 22 he was cast as a supporting lead in the International feature film "Fynbos". Soon after Chad became a Father and he distanced himself from the industry. However his passion always prevails. Over the last 3 years he has had the privilege of watching Andy Serkis Direct and Robert Richardson DOP in "Breath", performed with Chris Evens and Directed by Gideon Raff "Red Sea Diving Resort", and at the end of 2018, starred in the new (Working title "Amazing Grace") where he played the Lead Character and covered 8 years of a True Life Documentary Drama. Chad is 29 years old and his eyes are set on the UK, US and his home country, South Africa. His focus and drive is the pursuit of a successful Acting career filled with lessons and challenges along the way. Chad has two favorite quotes: "All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages." -Shakespeare "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, It's the size of the fight in the dog".
